About the company
CTS is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of electronic components, actuators, and sensors for various industries, including automotive, medical, aerospace, and industrial technology. With a strong heritage dating back to 1896, CTS now employs over 3,500 people worldwide and fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Our facility in Nupaky (Prague East) focuses on piezoelectric sensor and transducer development, and we are currently offering an intern position for a motivated and technically skilled student who wants to gain hands-on experience in this dynamic field.
Responsibilities
This is a temporary engineering position (internship or part-time cooperation) designed for students of engineering, applied physics, mechanical, electrical engineering or related technical disciplines who are eager to explore real-world applications of piezoelectric sensors and transducer design. You will work alongside experienced engineers on current development projects and receive direct mentorship to help you grow your knowledge and capabilities. Successful candidates may be offered a full-time position upon completion of the internship.
What You Will Do:
- Support the design, development and testing of piezoelectric sensors and acoustic transducers
- Perform measurements and data analysis using lab equipment
- Assist in product development activities, documentation, and technical reviews
- Learn how to characterize the sensitivity, frequency response, and noise behavior of transducers
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with international teams
- Contribute ideas to enhance existing designs and production processes
Requirements
- A student or recent graduate (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or related fields
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to develop real-world skills in sensor technology
- Familiar with technical concepts like piezoelectricity, CAD tools, or FEM (a plus)
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English (Czech not required)
- You are eligible to work in the Czech Republic – ideally as an EU citizen or holder of a valid student visa (due to project-related requirements)
The employer offers
- A paid intern position with flexible working hours (part-time/full-time)
- Direct mentorship by experienced engineers and technical experts
- Involvement in real development projects with global impact
- A friendly and inclusive international team
- Access to learning materials, testing labs, and prototyping equipment
- Office location just 15 minutes from Prague (Nupaky) – accessible by public transport
- Support with accommodation search or arrangement, especially for students relocating to Prague
