About the role
Google Cloud, they empower businesses worldwide to digitally transform using their secure, reliable, and scalable technology.
As part of their entrepreneurial New Business Sales team, you'll play a pivotal role in understanding customer needs and driving the adoption of Google Cloud solutions across diverse sectors, from startups to large enterprises and government agencies.
You'll collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to develop innovative product initiatives, and act as a thought leader by identifying emerging industry trends and key influencers.
You'll engage with potential partners, uncover exciting opportunities, and present them to executive leadership. This role is about more than just sales; it's about shaping the future of how businesses connect with their customers, employees, and partners, and accelerating digital transformation on a global scale. Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities, skillfully address customer technical challenges, and develop strategic solutions to overcome obstacles.
Cultivate strong technical relationships with customers, championing Google Cloud solutions, driving successful bid responses, delivering compelling briefings, and partnering closely with Product Management to accelerate customer adoption.
Showcase the power of Google Cloud products by demonstrating and prototyping seamless integrations within customer and partner environments.
Expertly guide customers through comprehensive assessments of their legacy applications, providing strategic roadmaps for infrastructure and application modernisation.
Architect and recommend tailored integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure to deliver complete and transformative Google Cloud solutions.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience as a (technical sales engineer, field sales representative, customer success, Partner development manager, solutions architect role) in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
- Have a disability, neurodivergence, mental health or long term health condition. (These include dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, ADHD, visual impairment, hearing impairment, diabetes, epilepsy, depression, anxiety disorders, and any other physical or mental health conditions)
- Experience in cloud computing, cloud market, competitive dynamics, and customer buying behaviours, along with public Cloud (GCP).
- Experience in design, architecture, and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems and cloud native applications.
- Ability to communicate in English and fluency/native level in Italian as noted in the job responsibilities to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking.
- Ability to debug, optimise code, and to automate routine tasks.
- Excellent systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with verbal and written communication skills.
